Bunny Rabbit Program : is offered to children of 5 years of age and younger. The objective is to introduce youth to cross-country skiing and the healthy lifestyle associated with it as well as to develop their skills while having fun.
Jackrabbit Program: is aimed at children six to nine years of age. The objective is to develop technique, fitness and speed. This program has an award system to help children keep track of their progress.
Track Attack Program: is directed at youth ten to thirteen years of age. The objective is to control and improve technique from the Jackrabbit program.
All of these programs are part of Cross-Country Canada's programs. Don't forget that Beckie Scott, Canada's first Olympic gold medallist in the sport of cross-country skiing at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic winter games, is a graduate of the Vermilion, Alberta Jackrabbit program. |
